Kitchen suppliers needed for major public sector projects

Public sector procurement specialist LHC is seeking kitchen manufacturers and suppliers for a new four-year framework to supply a variety public sector projects.

The new Supply of Kitchen Units and Worktops (K7) framework from LHC will cover all public sector projects in England, Wales and Scotland and will allow local authorities and social landlords to deliver complete kitchens, including cabinets, worktops, appliances, and mobility options. Suppliers will also need to offer a full design service.

Kbbreview understands that kitchen retailers are also welcome to apply.

Suppliers will be called upon to supply a diverse range of products for low-, medium- and high-rise residential homes, including those housing vulnerable people, shared properties, care homes and sheltered accommodation.

The framework will be used to supply not only dwellings, but also commercial facilities, such as those in schools, hospitals, offices and municipal buildings, such as museums and sports halls.

LHC head of technical procurement said: “LHC is looking for manufacturers and suppliers of domestic and commercial kitchens who can deliver a diverse range of products that address the requirements of the contracting authorities, and who can also provide a complete solution. From developing the client brief and design concepts, through to resident liaison, delivery and after-sales service, manufacturers need to offer a full design service as well as delivering a high-quality end product, manufactured from certified sustainably sourced materials.”

LHC will hold a pre-tender webinar for manufacturers and contractors on Thursday, January 13 at 11am and there will also be one-to-one briefings throughout January. These sessions will outline the proposed framework and give interested parties the opportunity to feedback before it is finalised.

To register on the K7 framework, the briefing webinar or one-to-one sessions, visit the LHC Group’s Proactis website page.
