Betta Living opens three new showrooms

Kitchen and bedroom retail chain Betta Living has opened three new showrooms, representing an investment of more than £700,000.

The new stores, in Tamworth and Cannock in Staffordshire and Newcastle, have a retail space of 15,000sq ft incorporating 30 displays per showroom.

The company, which also opened a new store in Reading during the summer, says it is currently in negotiations to open its 20th showroom later this year. The business was founded in 1966 and emplys 70 people at its factory in Oldham.

It has 80 sales designers, 100 marketing staff and over 80 fitting teams.

Betta Living's marketing manager Barry Rourke said: "Our expansion and ivestment in store refurbishment comes on the back of one of the most successful trading periods we have seen, with a year-to-date sales increase of 46%.

"We seem to be capitalising on customers who are investing more in their homes rather than moving house, undoubtedly a circumstance of the current economic situation. We offer  homeowners the latest designer looks at the right price and quality, coupled with an inspriring shopping experience."
